fresh forever

Ralf Uhler is working on an ongoing artistic project called „Fresh forever“. In this series of photographs the takes pictures of people, male and female, old and young, single or as couples or families, lying naked under kitchen foil in a flat cardboard bowl like produce in the shelves of the supermarkets. This is also a result of his wish to contrast the artificial world we are creating with the pureness of nature in on or the other way. What for him felt many years as a conflict – creating advertising – as he suffered with every forest dying or species vanishing has found relief, aesthetics as an exercise in social therapy. He thinks that it is of prime importance to overcome less important realities and to focus again on what we really are, i.e. that we ourselves are nature. We are the dying species worth to be protected through us and from ourselves – we in all our wonderful different variety.
